Chinese cola chicken wings (可乐鸡翅/ke le ji chi) is a super simple dish. It is a bit sweet and spicy (not sharp) from taste. For someone who likes chicken wings, is a great idea. It also fits super with rice!
At some time in school this food came into our lives, I do not know exactly when. But it will immediately be a favorite for all children when we have a family party.
Not just Chicken Wing, you can cook with the same cooking style, fish, pork or chicken legs. It always tastes delicious!
What is coming to the table tonight? Try the “Chinese cola chicken wings” with rice!
Marinating: Divide each chicken wing in the joint. On both sides cut into the fleshy part with a knife tip obliquely 3 lines. Put in a bowl, rub with dark soy sauce and rice wine, marinate for 10 minutes.
First cooking: Brine the marinated chicken wings in cold water with ginger. Swab up floating foam. Remove the chicken wings and immediately pour into the cold water, drain in a few minutes.
Fry and stew: Heat the oil in the wok and brown the chicken wings. Ginger, star anise and spring onions. Pour the soy sauce and cola and bring to a boil. Let it boil for 20 minutes.
In between you can turn the wings, so that each side is cooked in the sauce. If the sauce is slightly creamy, you can reduce the sauce with strong heat. In the end, the sauce should be quite creamy.
* If you are in a hurry, you can eat this food after 20 minutes. If the sauce is not creamy enough, but the taste is already there.
* This food is already salty enough without additional salt. Of course you can still add salt if it is not salty enough.
